At the heart of the unique Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren customer care concept is the highly exclusive SLR Centre of Excellence.

Located at Mercedes-Benz World in the historical and famous Brooklands setting, the SLR Centre of Excellence is fully integrated into the facility's architecture.

At the centre, customers have the opportunity to finalise their preferences for the vehicle's equipment and determine what the personal settings for the car should be.

After confirming their order, new owners are treated to an exclusive tour of the SLR Experience Centre at McLaren's headquarters.
In addition to visiting the Team McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 race bays, they have the opportunity to see first-hand how the car is constructed by visiting the production area. Here, some of the key design, manufacture and mechanical features are explained in detail by a consultant.

Following the tour customers are invited to test drive a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren on a nearby proving ground to fully explore the unique potential of the car. The test drive also allows customers to try out their individual seating configurations in practice so that any additional modifications can still be made.

The high point of all the activities at the SLR Experience Centre is the handing over of the vehicle to the new owner. This occasion is designed to evoke excitement, making customers look forward even more to their first drive in the new Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.
